Establishing Telepharmacy Services

Dial-in Webinar

This webinar will review how to establish a telepharmacy in Minnesota. A telepharmacy is a remote pharmacy that provides pharmaceutical services to medically underserved communities who do not otherwise have access to a "brick-and-mortar" pharmacy. This session will review the Minnesota laws and rules involved with establishing a telepharmacy, how to apply for a variance, and describe the provisions recommended in the Board of Pharmacy's Guidance Concerning Approval of Telepharmacies.

After this Webinar, Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the purpose of a telepharmacy
  • Understand the purpose of a variance
  • Describe the variances required to establish a telepharmacy
  • List the recommended provisions of the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy guidance document
  • Describe other considerations necessary for establishing a telepharmacy
