As of March 1, the FDA began enforcing the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) regulations that require dispensers to receive electronic track and trace data for all purchased prescription drugs, and to maintain this data for a minimum of six years. Dispensers must also be able to provide specific track and trace data in support of a drug recall or other investigation no later than 48 hours after a receiving a request from an appropriate government official.
No matter how you approach DSCSA, it requires additional work. This is the new normal for independent pharmacists. At MPhA, we saw this legislation moving through the system and identified InfiniTrak as the best solution for MPhA members. And we haven’t been disappointed.
InfiniTrak is the most cost-effective way to streamline the processes that DSCSA imposes, maintain the information required in the proper format and at your fingertips, and achieve a certain peace of mind in knowing that you are fully compliant. InfiniTrak allows you to focus on Quality: improving the quality of your track and trace processes and of your systems for potential suspect products; and ultimately improving the quality of customer care with a safer supply chain.
What’s more, because of our partnership with InfiniTrak, MPhA members are eligible for a deeply discounted price. To subscribe to InfiniTrak at the MPhA discounted member rate, go to http://app.infinitrak.us and use affiliation code: 7624e.
