Pharmacy issues are actively under consideration at the Capitol and MPhA members continue to meet with key legislators to discuss pharmacy advocacy. This week, MPhA President Michelle Aytay, Camille Kundel and Anjoli Punjabi met with Sen. Bobby Joe Champion of Minneapolis; Sen. Champion is the ranking minority member of the Senate Jobs and Economic  Growth Finance and Policy Committee. Lobbyist Buck Humphrey and Public Affairs Committee Co-chair Jeff Lindoo have had many meetings with legislators and regulators this week as the session heats up and critical committee hearings are scheduled. Watch for a separate MPhA Issue Alert in the next few days and visit the MPhA website for news.

Thanks again to those of you who took the time to meet with your legislators as part of Minnesota Pharmacy Legislative Day last week! At least two legislators included information about the visits in their constituent newsletters.
