Townhall Meeting Series, Greater MN locations. Meetings are scheduled with local leadership based on demand and topic timeliness. These events are a more intimate gathering of members in their respective regions of the state. It’s an opportunity to meet with members on their home turf and speak to the issues that impact them locally. Events have been held in Alexandria, Bemidji, Duluth, Grand Rapids, with plans for St. Cloud, Brainerd and Rochester.
Virtual Coffee Break Webinar Series, this series was established to provide a flexible, informational resource that members can access remotely at the time that works best for them. Live attendance is available and has proven popular. Additionally, each “coffee break” is archived and made available online to provide ongoing access to important information and, over time, the development of a virtual resource library for pharmacy members. MPhA is excited about this opportunity to keep front of mind with members and non-members alike because of the archive nature of the series.
Leadership Summit and House of Delegates Meeting, June 2016, Ewald Conference Center. MPhA gathers its volunteer leadership and delegates representing all membership segments to guide and plan association-wide initiatives and policy. Support for this event helps ensure the future leadership of MPhA and helps advance Minnesota’s pharmacy community. We anticipate a very lively day with the morning session focusing on gaps in the health care needs of Minnesotans and roles that pharmacists can play in filling those gaps and advancing practice. In an interactive panel, participants will discuss their strategic initiatives to bridge the gap and what barriers and opportunities they anticipate. Updates will be provided on health reform and provider status initiatives, and efforts to update the Minnesota Pharmacy Practice Act.
Minnesota Pharmacy Legislative Day brings together both MPhA, the Minnesota Society of Health System Pharmacists, the Minnesota Retailers Association, the Minnesota Grocers Association and the College of Pharmacy to discuss current issues and plan strategy to move the profession forward. We are planning to expand the event and move it to a location that can accommodate the growing number of participants.
Annual Sponsorship, these packages provide exposure at nearly all MPhA initiatives throughout the year. This is the most inclusive level of sponsorship and helps support MPhA in all of its yearlong operations. We can work with each sponsor to ensure a presence at all events and in all communications.
