MPPS Welcomes New Members
The Minnesota Professional Pharmacists Society (MPPS) was organized in the 1990s as an organization for senior pharmacists to meet and maintain old friendships. The group meets monthly at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bloomington for lunch and a presentation eligible for state board CE credit. At the meeting held Dec. 19, U of MN COP Dean Emeritus Marilyn Speedie shared history of the College, “Wulling, Weaver and Beyond: 125 Years of the U of M College of Pharmacy”. Also at that meeting long-time President Richard Schugel and Treasurer Bob Warren both stepped down after serving 10 years and 20 years respectively. New officers now taking over are: Bob Nordin, President; Dick Mandt, Administrator; and Sandra Newhouse/Leslie Prahl sharing Treasurer duties. MPPS is actively seeking and welcoming new members including pharmacists, those from the pharmacy industry, and technicians. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month with members gathering at 11:30. It is suggested you confirm ahead before your first visit by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Coming meetings will be Feb. 20 and March 20, 2018.
