Local pharmacy residents will each provide a brief 8-minute presentation on a unique or novel approach to drug therapy learned during their residency year. This program is approved for MN Board of Pharmacist CE Credit (1.5 hours) through the Heartland Chapter of MSH

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the background and clinical use of droperidol in the emergency department
  2. Review the pros and cons of using cholestyramine for the treatment of C. difficile and evaluate use in this patient population
  3. Explain the current recommendations for use of ICS in COPD and apply current guidelines to a patient case
  4. Discuss the utility, clinical effectiveness, and economic considerations of the V-Go wearable insulin delivery
  5. Summarize the role of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) therapy in male patients
  6. Review influenza antiviral therapy options and compare the safety and efficacy of oseltamivir and baloxavir
  7. Review the indication, effectiveness, and safety of cefidericol
  8. Describe the treatment effect of L-glutamine for sickle cell disease and identify challenges associated with the therapy
