Description:

During this webinar, pharmacists and pharmacy staff will be updated on the 2020 legislative session.  We had a successful session and much will need to be implemented in the future.  This webinar will provide you with the details you need to know in order to implement the programs into your pharmacy.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe how the 2020 legislative session went.
  2. Detail the legislation that has passed in 2020.
  3. Discuss implementation of legislation passed in 2020

Speaker: Buck Humphrey

Buck Humphrey is an experienced government affairs and public relations executive with relationships and a track record with political leaders in Minnesota, the Midwest and the nation’s capital. For more than 25 years, Buck has worked at the intersection of the private and public sectors on issues at the federal, state and local levels. He has worked with governors and legislative leaders. Buck has been on the lobbying team that has passed MAC transparency provisions, the new insulin safety net program and built a bipartisan patient pharmacy network access coalition. He is an experienced lobbyist, knowledgeable about our issues and with a strong desire and commitment to move our agenda.

Speaker: Jeff Lindoo

Jeff Lindoo, RPh, grew up in the world of pharmacy. His earliest experience consisted primarily of reading comic books in the back of his grandfather’s and father’s pharmacy in rural Wisconsin. He has been an MPhA member since graduating from the NDSU College of Pharmacy in 1974. His 42-year pharmacy career was with Thrifty White Pharmacies, where he served in numerous positions prior to retiring in June 2016. He is an MPhA past president and serves as co-chair of the Public Affairs Committee. He served on the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy from 1996 to 2000 and as Vice President in 1999.


Registration Fees:

The cost is $25 for non-members. MPhA pharmacist members, pharmacy technician members and student members may attend at no cost.


Continuing Education:

This presentation is being submitted to the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy for Continuing Education credit approval (one hour).

To receive Board of Pharmacy credits for this program, the following must be completed:

  • Full participation/completion of webinar either during the live program or the archived presentation

  • Completion of survey post webinar acknowledging participation

Board of Pharmacy credit processing takes place on the 15th of each month.

The Minnesota Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
