Trump administration declares coronavirus emergency, orders first quarantine in 50 years

The Trump administration has declared coronavirus outbreak to be a public health emergency as of Jan. 31 enacting quarantine of Americans who have recently travelled to certain parts of China. Officials from the CDC stated it is the first quarantine in the U.S. since smallpox in the 1960s. Alex Azar, the secretary of Health and Human Services reassures citizens that, “The risk of infection for Americans remains low,” and that, “We are working to keep the risk low.”  Read more here.
